Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise was an American actor, singer and writer, best recognized for her role as Ginger Grant from the TV series Gilligan's Island. The stage debut of her career started in the 1950s, with Two's Company, a Bettle-Davis musical. Then, she appeared on Broadway in various shows until the year 1957, when Li'l Abner became big in the National Theatre. The singer also released her debut album of music, It's Time For Tina in the same year. Louise made her debut on the screen in Hollywood as God's Little Acre which was a dramatic that was released in the year 1958. She played Griselda who was a character from the film. In the years prior to this she was a student at the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her tutor. Her next memorable role came with the year 1964, when she signed with CBS for the role of Ginger Grant in 1964. Louise Balfour managed to move between Broadway as well as Hollywood acting as a sombre character opposed her perceived image as the glamorous model. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1 and Helen Magnus, but in the last few years she's earned a reputation as a director on several well-known TV shows such as Supernatural. She was born on 28 August 1965, in Essex. At the age of 3, her family moved her to Toronto in Canada where she spent her childhood. After being chosen in 1997 to play Samantha Carter she settled down in Vancouver and has been living there ever since.
