Hayley Orrantia is she is an American performer, songwriter and actress. People are familiar with her because of her character as Erica Goldberg on the popular show on television The Goldbergs.' She believes that she is the best musician of all. She says that music was always her first passion. After she turned 12 years old, the art of music was taken seriously enough to warrant formal training. Following a few attempts at songwriting, she only recorded her first album of covers at the age of fourteen. It has been non-stop since then. Orrantia has Hispanic heritage, yet was born in the USA. She is a native of Hispanic roots even though she only spoke English as a child and her whole life was in the United States. Her aim is to preserve it through the creation of Spanish songs, and also studying the language. One of her efforts was the creation of a Spanish song called 'Hasta Verte.' Orrantia was a part of The X Factor season 1's auditions throughout the summer of 2011. Orrantia got selected out of a YouTube video and was awarded four "yes" no votes by judges during the live audition phase in Seattle, Washington. The first time she auditioned, she was solo however, during "Hollywood Week" she was put with three other female vocalists in a trio for the remainder of the auditions. Live shows were staged in the fifth week.
